The skirt muslin worked first try. Don't remember that happening before. I also put pockets into the skirt.
I had to make three versions of the camisole before I felt comfortable cutting into the silk.
Even if this doesn't feel like "me," this outfit somehow still appeals to me. So, I wear it to bed. I don't believe in wearing junk to bed. I still want to look and feel good for me, for if I have to run out of the house in an emergency, and for my husband. I use bed-wear as a time to wear things that I want to wear but don't feel psychologically comfortable in when wearing all day.
This fabric allows for good air flow, so is good for warmer weather. I dislike nightgowns because the skirts bunch up and at the same time the fabric pulls on my shoulders, but having separate pieces helps with that. The skirt still comes up, but it isn't uncomfortable.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with the other two camisoles. I might wear them in the winter as an under layer, but they're a little too tight for comfort and the straps don't stay up even though they are as tight as can be without pulling the camisole up higher than was intended or is comfortable under the arms. I hate throwing out fabric, though, and they aren't good enough for the thrift store.
At least I got one outfit out of the muslins.
