In the meantime, my sewing and pattern drafting has slowed to almost nothing. It's hard to be motivated when there is no space and supplies are scattered between two floors. The good news is, the new sewing room has natural lighting at certain times of day and is painted nicely, so once things are set, there shouldn't be as much laundry and storage in the background, accented by dim lighting. Then again, some people like to see others' laundry and storage.
I realize I am fortunate to temporarily live in a house with room for a dedicated sewing space. Once it is set up and usable, I will feel fortunate. At the moment, I feel topsy-turvy.
