But I wanted to have a Han Solo-inspired outfit, so I made a white shirt and adjusted a failed costume bodice that was given to me to make a black vest. I wore black boots, jeans, the white shirt, and the black vest. Close enough that Star Wars fans recognized the influence, enough like normal clothing that I didn't look like I was in costume.
Last weekend, I wanted something to wear to work for four hours, then look put together for running errands on a swelteringly humid day. I wore the slightly sheer top with a navy vest for work. Without the vest, only in certain lights can the shirt be seen though, so I was cool for errands and felt good about the way I looked, too.
